You are invited to get up close and personal with Paisley, a baby Andean condor, (the largest flying raptors in the world) on Friday 2nd August, at 6.30pm. Adam Bloch (Head of Operations at the International Centre For Birds of Prey, Newent, Gloucesteshire) will introduce Paisley and talk about the challenges facing vultures and condors. These birds are close to extinction – with 99.9% of the world’s Asian vultures gone and now 85% of Africa’s vultures are dead. Paisley is a well behaved young lady who lives with Adam and his family and should live for 80 years.
